Check this out:- That'll be the Ameo with the 4 in 1 cable running a movie over SVideo Out that it's reading from an external USB drive. Sweet.
Guest wwaveydave Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 That is sweet ;) P Looks even better in fullscreen. I can also confirm that an external keyboard works through the USB port too, although I've not had much joy with an external mouse. The mouse seems to work, as the scroll button works but there's no pointer. Know of a way to get a pointer going?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 I'll have a play once my cable arrives, hopefully tomorrow! Played with Real VGA yet? The massive title bars etc. are such a waste of real estate! P

The massive title bars etc. are such a waste of real estate! P Not yet, most things I need real estate for are full screen. I'm pretty light on the today screen. You played with it?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 Yeah, not 100% yet but getting there. Even Opera etc. full screen isn't REALLY full screen out of the box ;) P

Even Opera etc. full screen isn't REALLY full screen out of the box ;) P I had a quick play with ozVGA earlier on it. It kinda worked, but it was woefully slow. Strange that I couldn't get the forced change of res in the registry to work though. Which route are you taking?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 A custom ozVGA someone sent me... P
Guest wwaveydave Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 A custom ozVGA someone sent me... P Cool. How close is it?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 The cable arrived! And no, the mouse doesn't work cos there's no pointer ;) I wonder if I can grab the 'mouse mode' driver from an Artemis? P
Guest BenWW Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) you may want to try nyditot virtual display http://www.nyditot.com/Home.asp chaps over on aximsite have used to good use in using the Intel 2700 graphics chip. the ameo may benefit from it. Has a max external resolution of 1024x768 i think. Edited March 29, 2007 by BenWW
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Nydidot 96dpi + Ameo = not happy ;) P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 NYDITOT also has a pointer mode, usb mouse doesn't move the point tho, it's just moved by clicks ;) P
Guest BenWW Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 NYDITOT also has a pointer mode, usb mouse doesn't move the point tho, it's just moved by clicks :D P ah thats a shame, could have been a wonderful partnership ;)

P Strange, I just purchase the 4 in 1 cable, the USB mouse works really well. Could it because I have upgrade to WM6 ?
