hissing normal speaker & naff Hands free mic

I got this phone as I wanted the latest and best, well its not the best in that I used to have a sony j70. With the spv even on the lowest volume using the phone normally I get a lot of hissing from the loudspeaker as if playing a bad tape with a quier recording. Does anyone elses do this. You usually only notice it in a quiet room or quiter room but its still unacceptable since even my 3210 sounded better with no hiss.

2. The button on the hands free does nothing and when I plug it in no one can here what I'm saying barely even if I shout into it. It was like this from day 1. Anyone else had this. I've had the problem with the phone lockin up whilst screensaver is on and the keys are locked. I boght the phone as upgrade from CPW on 11/01/01. Can I ask O for a replacement one since its not developed a fault but been faulty since day 1. I don't have O care though, but a product should work and if a TV or CD player was like this i would be replaced surely. Many thanks to all in advance and what a great forum! - my 2nd post now!

I haven't had this problem with the hissing and I would probably return it to Orange if I and this problem (and lived in England), but first you should check with some other members as I might just have missed it or something.

With Q2, I've never used hands free, so I cant help you but good luck,
