Guest HowardB Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 (edited) Hi all, Picked up my M700 yesterday and am trying to get my head around ActiveSync, but am having a big problem which I would be grateful for any advice on. I have installed ActiveSync on my notebook and connect to the M700 using the USB lead. The notebook connects to the internet via a wireless connection. When i start ActiveSync my wireless connection on the notebook is lost and the notebook starts to hunt for the connection but never recovers it. The ActiveSync is performed and my contacts and calendar are updated. What is happening with the network connection and how do i prevent it from doing this? Thanks. (edited to add that i have to re-start the notebook to get a good network connection again, even with the M700 disconnected from the notebook). Edited March 25, 2007 by HowardB
Guest magic_peanuts Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 On your M700 go to Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC and disable it. I had a similar problem but not with an M700.

That appears to have worked. Just performed an ActiveSync and am posting this message via the notebook wireless connection. Many thanks.
