Guest girijesh Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 (edited) Hi, I have an O2 Xphone II which recently spent some time at the local dealer's since it was having an issue charging. Finally the problem was narrowed down to my charger, and not the phone, which was duly replaced. Ever since the phone has returned however, it keeps giving me an error stating 'Your phone is running out of storage. Please delete or remove some programs'. The first time this happened, I looked up the storage status. This is what it shows: Storage (Flash): Total: 27.98 MB Used: 27.96 MB (99%) Now, before the night at the dealer's the phone used up only about 60% of storage. I can confirm the following: a) The dealer hasn't added anything B) I do not browse the Internet from the phone, and there are no temporary internet files or cache. I've cleared them in any case c) the MAPI folder is empty d) I do not have any videos, photos or music stored on the phone e) I have two additional applications other than what came shipped with the phone. Photo contacts & a Texas hold-em game. Both add up to less than 1.5 MB f) No messages (SMS) or contacts have been added since the time the phone clocked 60% storage I am at a loss as to how / why this has happened. I've browsed thoroughly through the phone to try and find any data or junk files that may have been added but unsuccessfuly so. Would appreciate any help in identifying the possible reasons for this and help me resolve this issue. I am happy to provide any further information you may require. Thx Edited March 26, 2007 by girijesh
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 This does happen sometimes and its difficult to trace what causes it, it seems you've checked most things already though. I assume you haven't any emails on the phone? Unfortunately whenever i am presented with this problem the simplest choice to resolve the issues is a quick hard reset...
