Guest midnight Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 it goes back to desktop???? strange, could be the timeout tho, set the Home Screen Timeout to 'never' in Programs>settings>Home screen
Guest Maverick Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 I think what he meant was that the Media Player switches off when the phone is locked... Not very helpfull when u put the phone in ur pocket and wanna listen to music
Guest midnight Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 ah, right, i see, you cvan onlyt lock the phone when you go to the homescreen and have windows media player in th backround weel, i thought the whole point of the keypad lock was to stop people dialing a number by mistake, well, if you have win media player running you cant dial anyway, your only prob is the backlight coming on, it would be up to microsoft to make it so you can lock the phone while in wiun media player of course you could recommend that progs like smartamp (when it can play mp3 files) have a lock keypad facility that even allows you to skip tracks while backlight off and main keypad locked
Guest midnight Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 erm, also, you should onlyt need to press the back button after you press unlock to get back to win media player you shouldnt have to go through the menus again
Guest v1nn1e Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Instead of scrolling the through whateva to get back to WMPlayer, just press the back button after you remove key/phone lock.
Guest midnight Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 erm, thats what i just said  hehe
Guest madu Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 That is not always the case (back button) coz after a while it completely unloads WMP from memory. Try using a homescreen with MRU (most recently used) which will have a set of links to progs u just used on the homescreen. Have a look in customisation section and www.smartphony.org
Guest midnight Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 actually, win media player annoys me if i press stop for a while (may be to go into a shop or somethin) i come outside and the gits gone back to my homescreen
Guest v1nn1e Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Madukrainian: If the songs are playing, WMPlayer won't get loaded off memory, so the back button would work. Dougypet's problem was to find out that the phone was back to the homescreen when he wanted to CHANGE to another song. Do you understand what i am saying? Midnight: sorry mate, its the way i read my posts. I should have refreshed the thread!
Guest midnight Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 hehe, no worries, i was only kiddin
Guest fraser Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 I also find the auto shutdown (if you have stopped playing) a bit of a pain. Especially if you have playlists and you hate listening to the first three songs over and over again. But, I suppose it's needed to free up memory, especially for those with certed phones (i.e. no task manager). Would be nice if this was configurable, or at least if there was a shortcut you could launch that did a "resume" function, kind of like the DivX player does. Hmm, good feature request for the SPVAmp thing that some are working on...
