Guest UltraJoey Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I have an audiovox smt5600 and I have Windows Smartphone 2003 installed with a 2 gig memory card. I have it unlocked and am using it with T-Mobile. I was looking for a few things and maybe you can help tell me if they exist or not. I was preferably looking for free to very cheap. But whatever you got is good, so just post. I was looking for something to replace my contact management system. Something like this would be great: http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDet...96#description1 But I was specifically looking for these features: 1)Better contact searching. I want to be able to put in a name and have it search for it for me. I dont want to use the current system that my audiovox has. 2) I also want to be able to do more stuff with my contacts such as add my own list of subject or categories. EG: Email 5, Nickname, Work address3 etc... 3) A way to edit the incoming calls. I hate the system it has now for how it shows the name and picture. I want a name, picture and number, but I want to customize it a bit better. I was also looking for some ringtone management and Profile management systems: 1)I want to be able to take vibration off of text messages, MMS, and all alerts as well as add more customized profiles? Is there an App I could download that would do that for me? 2) I wanted a ringtone manager that would allow better customizations of ringtones. Maybe a way to create ringtones on your phone with notes, like most other phones have. Also, is there a way I can use a recorded note to be my ringtone? Is there software that can do that? I can I use a MP3 or wma as a ringtone. I am also looking for screensaver software for my phone as well: 1) Is there any software that can run a screensaver on my phone? 2) Can the screensaver play movie files? 3) Can I have like an animated background image on my today screen? Office tools: 1)I want something that can read word files and word mobile files and edit them as well.. 2) I want a spreadsheet viewer that can view and edit Excel and excel mobile files. 3) I want a presentations viewer that can edit and view Powerpoint and PP Mobile files. Also, I was looking for some software enhancements for the camera phone aspect. 1) I was hoping I could find some software that could add a background to the screen and then put whats in view of the camera right in the picture. Sort of like putting your face over a huge muscular body at the beach. You know what I mean? Mapping software: 1) Has to have routing 2) Would be nice to have Data importing 3) Must have GPS capabilities 4) Must have the US 5) Must include locations and business' and POI's. 6) Must also have some GPS tools such as knowing your long and lats, direction you are heading in, speed your travelling at etc.. 7) Voice navigation is a plus. 8) Great Street detail. A wireless Bluetooth card reader Hub: This may be a bit tricky to take care of, but I am looking to find a wireless hub that operates on batteries and connects or receives connections through bluetooth. I have several CF cards for wifi, GPS, FM Radio and the such. Plus I have memory cards that are SD and CF. I want to use most of these things I already have. SO I would need a wireless bluetooth Card reader Hub. Does something like this exist? This would make it so awesome so that I could use my GPS CF card with my phone. An FM Transmitter: Basically transmits any sound coming into and out of the phone through FM waves so you can hear it on your radio. Any other cool software you think would enhance my phone, please let me know. Bluetooth Joystick: I am looking for this. I have seen one, but forgot what they called it. This is so I can play games with my phone. I have a BT keyboard. Do you think this would be a good substitute for it? Also, If you could provide some midlet sites for the audiovox 5600 and for my phone in general, that would be great!! Also, is it advisable to upgrade to WM Smartphone 2005? If it is, how can I do that?
Guest whiteflippinjew Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Ok, for mapping, you can use Google Maps. For transmitting, just buy a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter for the phone. Go to radioshack and get one there. It will guaranteeedly work because I had the same phone a while back. From there, just get an FM transmitter. I have never heard of a Bluetooth card reading HUB. And even then, I dont know of a program for the phone that would be able to access them. You can change the vibrating features in your profile settings. And you can make any wav/mp3 a ringtone. Just shove the file into the folder application data\sound, and youll see it in your ringtone list.
