Guest The Doctor Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 (edited) Disclaimer: I've tested this thing to death to make sure it works properly, so the chances are, if it goes wrong its your own fault (nothing personal :)) Remember, only YOU can brick your device and I can't be held responsible for that. However IF anything should go wrong I will of course make every effort to help you ;) Ok thats the nasty bit over :) Following on from my MoDaCo Splash screen for Hermes, I have FINALLY got round to releasing a TRINITY specific version :) So here it is, in all its glory, in four flavours. 1. The RUU will not only change BOTH of your splash screens but will also make your device SuperCID allowing you to flash any Trinity ROM update :D It will also accept unsigned code and will not be over written when you update the ROM meaning your Trinity is now practically unbrickable :( 2. The RUU will only change the Sub Splash (on boot phone will display operator branding THEN the MoDaCo splash) 3. The RUU will only change the Main Splash (on boot phone will display the Modaco splash THEN operator branding) 4. The RUU will flash both the mainsplash and subsplash but NO superCID Instructions Download the version you want Connect your Trinity via USB to activesync (activesync icon MUST be green) Unzip modacosplashX.zip Run ROMUpgradeUtility.exe and follow all the instructions Wait while its flashes your Trinity (will only take 30 seconds or so) Done :) ADDITIONAL NOTE: These splash screen will be set in ROM, and WON'T go away after a hard reset. Only a complete ROM flash will alter them. KNOWN ISSUES: Sometimes the phone will freeze on the second splash screen immediately after flashing, however this can be solved by simply soft reseting and will boot normally everytime from then on. FINALLY a BIG thank you to pof, itsme, TheBlasphemer, Des, Olipro and Bot over at XDA-Developers who put in alot of time and effort into researching the Trinity :) In the meantime, enjoy :) Philmodacosplash1.rarmodacosplash2.rarmodacosplash3.rarmodacosplash4.rarModacoDude.bmp Edited March 28, 2007 by The Doctor

Guest Brownstone Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Excellent, thanks very much. As a small token of my gratitude, I shall point out a wee error in your instructions: Connect your Hermes via USB to activesync (activesync icon MUST be green) ;) BS...

Guest Brownstone Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Orange one reckons it can't connect to my Trinity, despite ActivSync icon being solid green. Damn work PC! I'll try again at home tonight. BS...
Guest Brownstone Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Still the same on my PC at home ;) BS...
Guest The Doctor Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) Still the same on my PC at home :D BS... Odd.. ;) It's essentially the same as the MoDaCo one but just with different splashes. The MoDaCo one worked on Pauls M700 over vista... Try downloading both number 1 and the orange one then replacing the nbh file in number 1 with the one in in the orange one. Also if you havent already done so, try connecting to a usb port direction into your computer rather than through a hub. Phil Edited March 29, 2007 by The Doctor
Guest Brownstone Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Modaco2 worked fine. I'll try swapping the files over later. Cheers, BS...
Guest pugzi Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 I get ERROR 202 and it hangs on the bootloader screen. I was using modoacosplash1 (the first of the downloads you posted).
