Guest Paul (MVP) Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 I have a handful of applications that I couldn't live without on the Pocket PC. Two of them are Resco Explorer and Resco Photo Viewer. Resco Explorer is much more than a file explorer. It's a file explorer, network file explorer, ftp client, registry editor, homescreen plugin and more! It's always the first thing I install on my device, and even better, it's a MoDaCo Plus benefit. Resco Photo Viewer performs two functions for me. It let's me view and manage all of my photo albums on the move (there's a bunch of pictures I always like to have with me), and it also serves as an extremely versatile replacement for the basic 'Pictures and Videos' application for viewing, editing and sending pictures taken with the device's camera. I'm pleased to be able to let you know that both of these applications are due a refresh soon, and are available as Beta versions courtesy of Resco. Resco Explorer 2007 BETA, has a whole bunch of new functions including... General features: Quick-search barStatus barCustomizable keyboard shortcutsFile Types HighlightingSpeed measuring for copying/moving/beamingCustomizable startup folder Network drive mapping:explicit user/passwordoptional drive namepermanent/virtual drive (connected on startup/first use) Encryption: Viewing encrypted files with built-in viewer (decryption in memory) Bluetooth: Remembers recently used Bluetooth devices (Microsoft Bluetooth stack only) Today plugin:running applicationssmart movement using arrowsAdd Document remembers last folder Other improvements: [*]Delete confirmation — option "Do not use Recycle Bin" [*]Multi-selection mode and Drag'n'drop via keyboard shortcut (HW key) [*]Open With — option "Enclose path into quotes" [*]dialog font supports Japanese devices [*] copying write-locked files (e.g. pim.vol) [*] Folder Properties ...while Resco Photo Viewer 6.20 BETA adds the following to it's already impressive featureset... [*] zoom slider [*]gamma with RGB [*] improved saving of large images [*]improved file operations [*] file operation prompting [*]browser can show folders "Show\Hide › Folders" [*]browser can hide Folder bar "Show\Hide › Folder Bar" [*]browser can lock Folder Tree "Show\Hide › Lock Folder Tree" [*]browser can show albums [*] optional left hand scroller in browser [*]Flickr.com support "Album › Publish to the Web" Both are available as generous 60 day trial versions during the Beta period. Resco will be delighted to receive feedback on the new versions, and here's your opportunity to make some great products even better! ;) P

Guest Webreaper Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 Anyone know how to stop the TodayPlugin going onto two rows? All I have is the apps/documents, but the new task-switcher icon always appears on a 2nd row. Looks dumb. ;)
