Guest mdrd66 Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Hi, I am new to these forums. ;) I was linked from airf.agev.com. I just bought an HTC Tornado and realized that it doesn't come with many functions as I have hoped to. (mostly customization options). Also another reason is that it does not include AIM and YIM. I previously owned the Mpx220 til the screen spazzed out. I am wondering if it is safe to change the Tornado rom to the T-Mobile SDA or even the Cingular 2125 rom. I would probably want T-mobile SDA since it will allow me the wifi (Cingular 2125 doesn't have wifi capability). Are there compatibility issues? If it is safe, can anybody help me find a place to get this rom? Thanks! Ben
Guest notaliberal Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 Depends on what flavor your tornado is. Apparently they differ greatly. ;) Look around to find out if your exact model is compatible with the t-mobile SDA... Wish I could point you in the right direction... Good luck,
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 Welcome to the forum ;) Airfagev is a great site and we share many members. Due to copyright issues our rules forbid discussion of the obtaining of ROMs from non-official sites. Update ROMs will usually be officially available from manufacturer / reseller / network websites so you could look around those. Otherwise you might find this thread useful : http://www.modaco.com/Whatand39s-the-Best-...do-t253141.html
Guest mdrd66 Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Darn, thanks for your help anyways, guys. I think I'm going to switch to the i-mate ROM instead.
