Guest chucky.egg Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Guys, I need some advice from any i600 owners - is it any good? I want a Smartphone, for calls and emails in about equal measure. I was hanging on for the Vox, but decided to see what was already around, and stumbled over the i600. Then I got to thinking about using it as a laptop modem (in which case 3G would be handy). I've never had a 3G phone, so that'll be a novelty too! The Vox is cheaper and has WM6 and Mobile Office, but isn't around yet. The i600 could win out if it's reliable, will work as a modem and lasts at least one full day There seem to be very few i600 threads, so I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me... Is it any good? Does it work as a modem to Win XP? (either cable, IrDA or Bluetooth) What's the battery life like?
Guest chucky.egg Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 To answer my own question, in case anyone else stumbles across this thread: The I600 battery lasts about 1.5 days of my "average" use (browsing, Direct Push, loads of emails, few calls, few texts) So far it's been absolutely rock solid, and works fine as a modem for my laptop over BT
Guest MECX Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Do you Find you use the 3g? Im in the same situation as you except Im coming from a PDA background-- want something more like a phone but need a keyboard, so its VOX or I600 really.
