Is there something wrong with my new I-mate SPL?

Just received my I-mate SPL and i have a quick question.

On the back, where there is the battery cover. Is it supposed to slide off easily? I have a worrying thought that when i take it out of my pocket, the battery cover is going to slip off. Is it suppose to just 'glide' off. It doesn't look like its going to hold itself very much.
