Guest Mihai Draghicioiu Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 (edited) hi. i have an MPx 220. i selected 'Romanian' as a locale, and things are fine, it's translated, looks ok, just that when i input text, two of the romanian-specific characters (t with cedilla and s with cedilla) appear as squares on the screen. i tried installing a different font (Arial) but the problem persists. I want to use it because it also has iTap words in romanian. i've tried google, but i don't know what exactly to search for. should i look for another key layout? the current layout is for 2, A B C Ă Â 2 for 4, G H I Î 4 for 7, P Q R S Ş 7 for 8, T U V Ţ 8 and the same as english for the rest also, the two special characters often get confused with other two characters, which look almost the same. it's T with comma underneath and S with comma underneath. i noticed (during web development) that replacing one set with the other can make things work sometimes. when choosing the wrong pair, they are displayed strangely and differently depending on browsers. so maybe to fix it i can choose the other pair to be used as input on my phone. but how do i change that? i also need to mention that in the menus those characters appear correctly. that's what leads me to think that it's an input problem, not a display problem any ideas? thanks.
