Mp3 file as "incoming sms" sound?

ok so i have tryed to put my mp3 file in the windows directory where it gets it alarm sounds form. but i cant find it in the list..

Is there a Register hack or something that can make this hapen? =)

You can't use MP3 files as alerts or alarms on Windows Mobile devices, without using 3rd party software.

Ringo Mobile will do what you want.

By default, alarms/alerts must be in WAV format, and reside in the Windows folder. They need to be as small as possible (no more than a few KB).

Ringtones can be WAV, MID, WMA or MP3 and need to be in the Windows/Rings, or Application Data/Sounds folder.

In that case, they need to stay in Windows/Rings.

Which AKU version is the i320? I think the Application Data/Sounds alternative path was introduced in AKU 2.5, but may vary from device to device.
