Stay with Vario 2 or swap for sidekick 3

I'm considering moving to a sidekick 3 cos I'm sick of my vario 2 occasionally freezing when I need it and its poor battery aswell. has anyone else swapped at all and what advantages or disadvantages would this swap have?

If you don't like the vario 'occasionally' freezing... why don't you replace it with something nice???????
