Does anyone know if the S710 will become available on T-Mobile?

If so when?

Thanks

Guy

Hi Guy

I asked the same question on this thread

http://www.modaco.com/T-Mobile-UK-and-HTC-vox-t253696.html

the responses were not that positive that T mobile will carry it, which would be a shame.

all the best

Many thanks for your reply, thats a shame and even worse it looks like the Wings is being cancelled!

I'm not actually on T-Mobile but a close friend is desperate for the VOX who is.

Keep me posted if you hear anything and I will too let you know.

Thanks again.

Guy

I'll be upgrading from T-Mobile MDA Pro to this on Orange as soon as I can. Worst 18 months of my phone-owning life, that one.. ;)

Problems with the phone or the service?

It looks like im having one through work with Orange, despite the fact I vowed never to go back to them being as its only a work phone I wont mind.

Problem with the above is, what now do I have for my personal handset? hmmmm.

Just the phone - well, it was never really a phone, was it - the phone app was almost unusable. Great PDA, mind, and it will sit happily sim-free on my dashboard as a satnav.

It's definitely a problem for people on T-Mo who want the device, but would you want to give up Web n Walk?

I'd upgrade on T-Mo to, say, a Vario II, MDA Compact III or even Ameo, sell it on eBay and use the cash to buy a SIM free HTC S710.

Good tip Paul, thanks ;)

Probably obvious to many on here but I had not considered that to get me off of O

A good tip for anyone with Orange out of contract like I was. I've pre-ordered a Sim Free VOX, for approx £260 with PowerUpMobile. I've unlocked my Orange C600 in the meantime until the Vox arrives. I canned my Orange contract (after almost 11/12 years!!) getting my PAC code. I've got a new T-Mobile web'n'walk contract, with the best handset I could get for free (which was a Sony Ericsson W880i). I then luckily swapped the Sony Ericsson for a M3100 with someone on Modaco who wanted to do a straight swap. I unlocked the M3100, I put it on eBay, £200 Buy It Now. It sold in less than 24 hours. Now when the VOX arrives I am going to wap in my TMobile Sim and then flog my unlocked C600 is nearly perfect condition for around £50-£70 quid and hopefully the who process has cost me very little if nothing (potentially I could make some dosh depending on how much the C600 goes for).

A bit of a long winded exercise but worth it to get the phone I want, on the tariff I want, for very little if not nothing money. And what's even better is the fact that my new T-Mobile contract is cheaper than my previous Orange one.

Cheers,

Gareth.

I found that, even with 3G, I never used as much data as I thought I would - even when I was living in a hotel, and using 3G every evening. Also, I'm a sucker for the 'subsidised phone, recoup cost via rental charges' thing. Well, I'm just a sucker really!

If your friend wants a Vox it is available on T-Mobile by getting a sim free Vox and inserting a T-Mobile sim. That is what I am currently doing with my Vox.
