spv c500 sms number problem

Hi all, have a odd problem which has just started happening.

when I try and send a text, get an error message that the sim is not valid.

in settings the sms service centre number is missing, and when i enter it manually

it will not save.

Has anyone got any ideas??

PS have tried a software upgrade, without success. ;)
