Guest nbanbury Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 Hi all I've had a look for this using search but couldn't find the answer, hence this post. I have lots of duplicate ringtones on my device - and this seems to be confusing it as sometimes it reverts to one ringtone over another. Can someone tell me if there is one location where I should put all ringtones/sms alerts/etc in .wma, .wav and .mp3 format so that I can get rid of the dupes and free up some memory? Thanks in advance
Guest Neil5459 Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 Ringtones need to be in Windows/Rings (WMA, MP3, WAV, MID) and all other notifications should stay in the Windows folder (WAV only). You may need to go to Fiule Explorer and tap Menu/Show All Files to see your WAV files.
Guest xeno1 Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 You can also put them in the Application Data--> Sounds file, the My Documents folder or in a My Documents folder on your SD card. It should be able to find them in any of them.

Some of our members tried the My Documents and Application Data locations, and they didn't work, which is a real nuisance if you want to keep your sounds segregated from all the Windows stuff.
Guest Laser_iCE Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 I have all mine in the root folder of the SD card.
