Guest M4cch3 Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 hi all, i recently bought a sim unlocked us sda t-mobile phone, i put in my sim card (vodafone, but i also tried wind and tim) and it seems that he can't take the network, it's very unstable(most of time it's on searching network, sometime have 1/2 signal line power out of 5) and my all other phone have no this problem with the same sim. so this is the question: there is same setting i need to change, is normal because is t-mobile phone, or it is broken? Thx
Guest martin Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 Hi M4cch3 Is it a GSM Tri band phone ? GSM Quad band= GSM 850/900/1800/1900 GSM Tri band Europe= GSM 900/1800/1900 GSM Tri band USA= GSM 850/1800/1900 http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/roa_grst.shtml Vodafone, TIM and Wind all transmit GSM 900 and GSM 1800 in their networks. If you have bought a Tri band USA phone then you will not have access to the GSM 900 signal so you could get poor coverage ;)
Guest M4cch3 Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 before i buy the phone i make some research:D and the us version of sda is the same of the htc tornado/imate sp5/qtek 8310, so it's a quadband phone.but thx for the reply Other suggestion?
