Why not just call Orange and pay £20 for them to do it? I brought my E650 this morning and called this afternoon, Unlock request is being processed as we speak...bingo! In fact CS where very helpful and the guy in the shop fab, is theold Orange back? He even tried to see if he could get a "Data Deal" before I decided to go the unlock route. (Like he phoned many departments and spent an hour on it..) You never know, I may just decide to stay with O if the WnW equivalent does appear like the rumours indicate....
Guest Pr0sper Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Insert IMEI number, your phone number, your full name and your eMail adress here. Orange will send you a .cab file, which unlocks your Vox. Note that the name and the mail adress have to match with the info that you entered in the device's owner information. The phone number have to be entered the way with the + at the beginning (+1 for US for example). Works in Germany, not sure about US, UK etc.

That simply allows you to remove the application lock (and thus allow you to install un-approved apps). As said before, O will send you the unlock code for a one off payment (they have your contract anyway so they dont care) or wait til one of the unlock specialist cracks the lock. O are definitely releasing Orange World Unlimited for £8 per month.

I brought my E650 this morning and called this afternoon, Unlock request is being processed as we speak...bingo! I was going to do it via Orange for my PAYG C500. The only reason I ended up using imea-check last time was because Orange said it would take up to two weeks and I was being impatient. At the time I'd only intended to use it with my work provider. For some reason (I think I read it in a forum a couple of years ago) I thought they might not do it when you're on contract. I've been wondering this week why they should be. Obviously it was either duff information or they've changed their policy. I'll give them a ring. Thanks.
