Guest kame1986 Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 Hey guys, Got myself a wonderful bad boy, the SPV M700. Been playing around and noticed i cant set my incoming txt sound to an MP3 file, and that goes for my alarm. Can any1 point me in the rite direction to help me out???
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 You need to convert the files to .wav format. I use dbPowerAmp but most PC audio editors will do it. http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

Guest Neil5459 Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 Try Audacity. Great app, free of charge. Runs on the PC, to convert files which you then copy to the PPC.

Guest ashgtir Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 The WAV needs to be in \Windows where in windows, its a huge folder with loads of files and folders??
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 Just in the Windows folder, not in a sub-folder. The wav needs to be PCM-format though too. You can check this with Windows Sound Recorder - on your PC in Accessories, Entertainment

Guest djfuego Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 sorted it, just converted it to .wav, copy and paste into windows and works a treat cheers You know you could just goto XDA Devs site and upgrade the phone to WM6 and then you wouldn't need to convert anything. Just copy wma, mp3 to the mydocuments folder and it will see them in the ringer selection. (Voiding your warranty of course) You can backup the phones rom before hand to your SD and if for any reason you need to return the phone you can flash Back to the original. I've been running wm6 for a few weeks on M700 and its working smooth. I don't know why orange haven't released an upgrade rom.
