Hey Im back...I used to be on here every day when I had my mpx200, and c500, now ive had the c600 and just upgraded for £20/mth to the m3100.

One feature of the smartphones I had and loved was the automatic profile, where it would automatically go into vibrate mode when there was a calendar appointment set.

I dont seem to be able to find if this option is available on the device or if there is any software I can install to do this.

Anyone help?

Take a look at phonealarm at pocketmax.net

Does much much more than the question you asked, but you may find it useful.

I agree - I use Phone Alarm as well.

I think there is also a now free phone profiler available on modaco somewhere if you search.

Hi all,

I'm looking for a piece of profiling software for my M3100 that allows me to configure different profiles that I can switch from the homescreen or set to automatically switch to at certain times.

I'm sure I saw a program somewhere that could do it but can't remember now where it was

Basically, I'd like to set a car profile that puts the brightness down and bluetooth on, a cinema profile that turns the phone to vibrate and a 'make as much noise as you can' profile for when my neighbours are playing drum and base really loud <_<

Any thoughts anyone? Preferably free of course but I'm not adverse to paying for something good...

Hi Paulplex,

Common ones:

PhoneAlarm - I use this

SPB Phone Suite - newish

SBSH PhoneWeaver - newish

There are others, PocketZenPhone, and some more mentioned above I think. Also, I believe O2plus2.3 does profile changes but never got the time scheduling to work for me.

I would suggest trying 2 or 3 out and see what you like.

Can't recomment PhoneAlarm enough. Small, neat and works like a treat. Skinnable too. I liked it enough to buy it, although there is a free version available (but that doesn't have the automatic profile switching by location, so it's not as good).

Cheers for that: I've now got SPB Phone Suite running and it works a treat

Yeah - it looked nice but IIRC you can only have one timed profile - I use PA to change profiles for work, sleep, church etc at predefined times and so need more than one time based profile.

Had exactly the same as you, used to love the profile switching on my E200 and C500 when I moved to PPC I now use PPC Profile (here in the Pocket PC forum), works well, never had a problem with it.

Take a look at Comm Manager Pro too. Although its approach is slightly different you will find all the features you might want and it's in (late) beta now. Worth a look at what it does here: www.commmgrpro.com - the approach is to allow you to be able to set lots of settings that are dependant upon location as defined by the phone (LAC and Cell ID of mobile phone masts). However, you can manually set places (effectively the same as profiles).

Regards
