Guest bigfatbob Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Does anyone know if the ROM updates on the HTC site for the 3600 are recommended for the orange M700?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 No, those updates are only for HTC branded devices. P

Guest simonclark123 Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 OK thanks Hi Paul Is there *any* way of installing them on an SPV M700 (I have already unlocked mine and done a soft reset immediately after the hard reset to stop the Orange customisation)? Many thanks Simon
Guest Shuflie Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 Hi Paul Is there *any* way of installing them on an SPV M700 (I have already unlocked mine and done a soft reset immediately after the hard reset to stop the Orange customisation)? Many thanks Simon Wouldn't your problem be actually getting the update? HTC require you to enter your serial number or IMEI before you can download the file. If they allow you to download using your M700's serial number/IMEI then they should install fine, but its unlikely that they will download for you.
Guest Neil5459 Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 You would probably be better popping over to the XDA Developers Trinity forums, where there is lengthy discussion on the various ROMs and advice on locating/downloading them. I've tried a few different ROM's in the cause of research, but at present I'd say there was little point in not continuing to use the supplied M700 ROM. It is apparently a lower AKU number than the HTC, but contains pretty much all the functionality.
Guest Ovie Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 I do recommend having a look at the ROMs on XDA-Developers, they gave WM6 ones too.
