Guest oh_do_shutup Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Hello everyone, I have a vario II that up until a few weeks ago was working fine with activesync on my main pc. However, now its not even detected by any pc. I have tried connecting it to my laptop, my friends pc, the usb cable charges it but it is not detected at all as a device. I have tried ticking and unticking the usb to pc option to no avail. I have soft reset it and hard reset it but it still won't work. I am running out of options on what to do. I really love it, but at this rate I won't be able to use it! Any help welcome. Jez

Do you have a Bluetooth connection on your PC you can test a Bluetooth Activesync connection with? Generally your Vario won't charge over USB unless it has detected an Activesync connection so something strange is going on. If you're on T-Mobile give them a call, their tech support guys are pretty good. If you bought the phone elsewhere and you're on Orange / O2 / Vodafone ask for support for the SPV M3100 / XDA Trion / Vodafone v1605 respectively. The phone should still be under warranty so you may want to try claiming on that, or any insruance policy. If not, XDA Repairs might be able to take a look at for a reasonable fee - http://www.xdarepairs.co.uk/home.asp Finally as a worst case scenario, sell it on eBay (mentioning the fault obviously) and buy a replacement. Will probably set you back £50 - £80 but it will do the job.
