Guest hotdog69 Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 hi, does anyone have suggestions or tips on setting up their equalizer for their smart phone so it sounds betting on the speaker? I've been trying to set it up myself but i just can't seem to get it right. can anyone use the preamp increase successfully? does anyone use volume normalization? please also share your own settings from your phone. 60hz 170hz 310hz 600hz 1khz 3khz 6khz 12khz 14khz 16khz
Guest notaliberal Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I used the preamp all the time. Not too much, dont want to blow the speaker, but enough to get some extra oomph from your tunes... I set the preamp 6 clicks up. For the rest, I'll just list now many clicks up I have them in the order the are listed: 1 click 1 click 2 clicks 2 clicks 2 clicks 3 clicks 2 clicks 2 clicks 1 click 1 click Now, there's also a registry setting to allow the speaker to produce sounds in the lower range. I forget what it's originally set to, but I set mine to 300 to get the sounds down at the 310Hz range. The registry key is: HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\SWHighPass Dont set that too low or you may damage the speaker. 300 is fine, I wouldn't advise going lower than that. Have fun, good luck, Jeff
Guest notaliberal Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 You may have wanted to point out that you're talking about TCPMP's equalizer, by the way... Assuming that's correct....
