Urgent Help needed with tomtom6

Folks,

I have happily installed tomtom 6 navigator on my o2 orbit which is good news now since things can get a little tricky at times.

I cant now get it to work because it says "no gps advise". It appears as tomtom is not picking up the inbuilt gps automatically. Can some guru please advise how to sort out this even if it is to do with the ports.

Also, I would love to know about its best features like camera alerts etc. please share as it will help a a lots of people.

Have you downloaded the new version (6.03) which is specific to devices with inbuilt GPS?

If you install this, you can select 'Built In GPS Receiver' from the list, and TTN should find it.

If not, use, the 'Other NMEA Receiver' (NOT Other Bluetooth NMEA Receiver) and select baud 4800 and COM4. Give TTN about 2 minutes to detect the receiver, then take it outside with a clear sky view to download the satellite information- can take up to 10 minutes.

Thanks neil gps is detected but it appears that my tom tom doesnt have uk maps its wierd...i will give you a whistle should I need anymore help...seen your website its well cool

You may need to reinstall the UK Map, but 1st check if the original UK Maps folde ris still present- some Orbits have a habit of corrupting MicroSD cards making some folders vanish :D
