Guest MartyBrad Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Hi. I came across an application that I downloaded a trial from at www.workoutofoffice.com called Always-On Mail which synchronises Exchange or Domino email with your mobile phone or PDA. All managed through an mmc. Does anyone know how this application compares with the Microsoft or the blackberry offerings? It seems a lot cheaper, which worried me at first, however it does seem to have all of the same functionality?? Martin
Guest Confucious Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 It seems a lot cheaper, which worried me at first, Martin If you are using Exchange MS Push email is free - how is this cheaper?
Guest chucky.egg Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Assuming it's not just adverts for that website (it's the only thing Marty has posted about to date, so hard to tell)... If you wanted Direct Push you'd have to have an Exchange account, which for most of us means either a Work, Hosted or Home-based Exchange server. All of those have some costs. I don't remember the application well, but the trial I did was less than successful, and I wouldn't want a 3rd party app to do what my device can do out-of-the-box
Guest Confucious Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 (edited) He says it Synchronises with Exchange or Domino - so it looks like you need one or other for this.... But like you say it does seem to be a plug for something you wouldn't need if you have a WM5 device with AKU2 or above and Exchange 2003 SP2 or above Edited April 24, 2007 by Confucious
