Guest Martin@AT Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Hi there, I am serching for a smartphone which should be able to operate in the Japanese network (like NTT DoCoMo) and also in a European network. I think mobiles in Japan dont use simcards but I know a common mobile phone out of Japan which can use simcard and the common Japanese mobiel contract. Does anyone know such a smartphone? It would be a great help for me! Thank you in advance and best regards Martin
Guest kiran_mk2 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Softbank (formally Vodafone Japan) use 2100Mhz 3G and DoCoMo are moving to support the same so as long as you have a 3G phone and a UK operator that has a roaming agreement in Japan you should be fine - (3G coverage over there is good in the cities). If you are after a Japanese handset that works in Europe, then that's beyond me I'm affraid.
