Guest yrreP Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 (edited) The new HTC TyTN ROM has now been officially released! There are however certain limitations to its release. 1. It is not available for download 2. It has only been distributed to HTC Repair Centres 3. You will have to send it to a repair centre in order to update your device The repair centres that i know can offer the update are - Milton Keynes (English devices only) Eurotwice (English, Dutch and French devices only) Teleservice Portugal (Portuguese devices only) Enjoy! (This is not the WM6 update due in a few months...) A litle more info - It has been upgraded to AKU3.3. This means that it will now utilise Internet Sharing, and therefore be very similar to the HTC P33/3600 4350. Edited April 26, 2007 by yrreP

Yeah good that AKU 3.3 has been released but you know that it's been "floating" around for some time now.
Guest yrreP Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 Yeah good that AKU 3.3 has been released but you know that it's been "floating" around for some time now. True, but this is one of the official variety, which means people can update their ROM without the possibility of losing Warranty.
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 I was under the impression that Carphone Whorehouse handled HTC repair centre access. I've never had to test this but it might be worth popping into your local shop.
Guest lillracksingen Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 True, but this is one of the official variety, which means people can update their ROM without the possibility of losing Warranty. The previous ROM "floating around" was released by Leaf, South Africa. The new limited release by HTC seems to be identical, so voiding the warranty should not be a concern.
