Guest Paul (MVP) Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 Russian site Portavik is reporting that Eten are prepping a Windows Mobile 6 based update to the X500, sporting a VGA screen! The new device, which is set to keep it's svelte 59.5×113x15.5mm dimensions, will certainly be blazing a trail for VGA devices, and is set to be the first device in a strategy that will see Eten adopting VGA for the majority of their products. Just a quick reminder of the X500 specs... within it's diminuitive frame and 146g weight it manages to pack a Samsung 400MHz CPU, 128MB ROM / 64MB RAM, GPRS, EDGE, built-in GPS with TMC, WLAN, Bluetooth, FM radio and 2 MegaPixel camera. The X500+ looks set to be a desirable piece of kit... let's just hope they can get this one working on T-Mobile GPRS ;) P [Via: Solsie / theunwiredview]
Guest Ovie Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 Hmmm, so what's the difference between this and the X800?
Guest Swampie Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Hmmm, so what's the difference between this and the X800? The X800 is 3G.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 No, as it's the same camera unit from the X500. P
Guest Ovie Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 The X800 is 3G. Hmmm, I don't get why they do this, split the market into those that need 3G and those that don't...it would be silly if they didn't have a significant price difference.
