Guest Superangel Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 Hi everyone This is my first post, please be gentle! Please can you help with a couple of unanswered questions: Windows Live Contacts: On the Vox, can I use my Windows Live Contacts as my main contact list? It's really frustrating having to maintain have one set of (Outlook) contacts and another for Windows Live Messenger/Hotmail. Chinese Localization: Will the Vox have Chinese language support in Asia? I have also been unable to find this phone in Taiwan, even though HTC is a Taiwanese company. Any suggestions?!Thank you in advance!

Hi, as far as I am aware you can only sync with Outlook. But you can export your contacts to an CSV file (under options) and import this into outlook. Attached is a screen shot. Sorry for its crudness, only have paint on this machine at the moment! EDIT: Oh and welcome! ;) Edited April 27, 2007 by nowimboard

Assuming the device is a variant that has Windows Live on (e.g. HTC S710 not Orange SPV E650) then yes, you can use Windows Live Contacts as your main contact list. I think the Dopod C500 variant will have a chinese option. P
Guest Superangel Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Hi guys Thank you both for your help! As I was thinking of buying the HTC version, that's great news about Windows Live Contacts. As for Chinese support, apparently the Dopod C500 won't be out until next month, and even then it may only appear in Singapore and Malaysia first. However, after searching I found that Mobem offer some fairly cheap Chinese language software that supports Windows Mobile 6, so I may just choose that and import an S710. Thanks again for your time and assistance!

Guest Paul (MVP) Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 And how can we make sure live messenger contacts don't come into my phone as contacts? Just uncheck the 'sync contacts' checkbox during initial Windows Live setup? P
