Guest tawse57 Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 Hi, I have just had my Orange mobile phone number ported to my new t-mobile Vario II and I can now ring out/receive calls on the Vario II using my former Orange number - great. Problem is, when I go into the Phone/Menu/Options/ Phone tab (this is the same screen on which you change the ring tone) at the top of the Phone tab screen, greyed out and un-editable, is the 'old' original t-mobile mobile number that came with the phone and which is now defunct. Does anyone know how I can change this? I found a setting that allowed me to change 'My No' which I thought would do it but nothing happend - the old number is still there? Thanks for any info how to change this. Tawse.
Guest jph Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Exactly the same situation I had. After a hard reset ,due to another problem,the number has changed to the new one.

No need to hard reset... Just go to SIM Manager (in either Programs or Programs/Accessories), then Menu/Tools/List of Own Numbers. Select the number and hit Edit. Job done!
