Guest jasnewt Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 Good work! Thanks for sharing. I had tried to mess around with some older themes, but my knowledge of how to put these together isn't good, so I'd given up and was hoping someone else would come up with a decent theme! The only alteration I will probably make to this one is to see if I can insert the Fizz Traveller plug-in, below Facade. Cheers, Jason.

Guest jpa Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 I made this one (you need facade and fizz weather, not fizz traveller) : MonWirelessWeather.home.xml
Guest RSkillz Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 What software do you use to create the Homescreen? Or is it good 'ol Notepad? I would like to change some subtle thing from the MS Default Homescreen, mainly the order. I would like to have: 1. Icons on top (=default) 2. Provider info, time (=default) 3. Profile Selection 4. SMS / MMS / VM info 5. Appointments And maybe a nice blue color instead of the greenish-blue. Thats it.
Guest Ktalangsm Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 I made this one (you need facade and fizz weather, not fizz traveller) : Installed and working 100% , Thanks! I love my wheater in home screen!
Guest Phil32 Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 Jpa, You said: "you need facade and fizz weather, not fizz traveller" I would be interested to get fizz traveller instead of fizz weather. Will it work also with fizz traveller? Thanks .
Guest jpa Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Jpa, You said: "you need facade and fizz weather, not fizz traveller" I would be interested to get fizz traveller instead of fizz weather. Will it work also with fizz traveller? Thanks . If you want fizz traveller instead you just need to change the xml file : replace lines: by the good one. To find the good one, install fizz traveler and open the fizz traveller xml file in \Application date\Home\
Guest jpa Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 I made this one, no fun, just for work ... The interest is to have my agenda and my tasks on the same screen. To do that i made a specific use of facade => you can't use facade app to customise my xml... unzip the file in \Application Data\Home\ (it will create a subfolder with the background images)JPA_Silver_HTC_Vox.zip
Guest nexxexium Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 I would really like the my wireless home weather. With on homepage a shortcut to comm manager like the default home screens.
Guest tkao2025 Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Anybody know how to add Fizz Weather to Facade? I'm not a computer person and so I don't want to fiddle with the XML file, but I have a good home screen with facade and the only thing missing is the weather. If anybody can walk me through, I would much appreciate it. Thanks
Guest Newchurch Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Anybody know how to add Fizz Weather to Facade? Hi, as far as I know it's not possible to add Fizz Weather to Facade. You can not place a plugin in another plugin. Maybe I'm wrong ...
Guest RSkillz Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 (edited) Well, decided to tweak the default MS Homescreen a bit to my own preference: I think the blue look suits the S710 so much better and I also changed the layout of the homescreen items a bit. Here are the backgrounds and code if you want to try it out yourself: (Save as WindowsSkillz.jpg) (Save as WindowsSkillzLS.jpg <?xml version="1.0"?> <home> <author>Skillz</author> <contacturl></contacturl> <title lang="0x0409">Windows (Skillz)</title> <version>1.0</version> <default target-width="240" target-height="320" font-face="Segoe Condensed" font-size="19" font-weight="bold" padding-left="5" padding-right="5" bgcolor="transparent" fgcolor="COLOR_HOMETEXT" padding-top="3" b-border-color="COLOR_HOMERULE" b-border-width="1"> <format state="selected" fgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHTTEXT"/> </default> <background bgimage="WindowsSkillz.jpg" bgimage-rotated="WindowsSkillzLS.jpg" valign="bottom" bgcolor="COLOR_TRAYGRADLEFT"/> <scheme> <color name="COLOR_TRAYGRADLEFT" value="#5da3dc"/> <color name="COLOR_TRAYGRADRIGHT" value="#0047ba"/> <color name="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT" value="#6a8fcd"/> <color name="COLOR_HOMETEXT" value="#FFFFFF"/> <color name="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHTTEXT" value="#FFFFFF"/> <color name="COLOR_WINDOW" value="#ffffff"/> <color name="COLOR_WINDOWTEXT" value="#000000"/> <color name="COLOR_STATIC" value="#ffffff"/> <color name="COLOR_STATICTEXT" value="#000000"/> <color name="COLOR_HIGHLIGHT" value="#3168bb"/> <color name="COLOR_HIGHLIGHTTEXT" value="#ffffff"/> <color name="COLOR_MENU" value="#ffffff"/> <color name="COLOR_MENUTEXT" value="#000000"/> <color name="COLOR_GRAYTEXT" value="#acacac"/> <color name="COLOR_GRADLEFT" value="#ffffff"/> <color name="COLOR_GRADRIGHT" value="#b1bcdd"/> <color name="COLOR_INTGRADLEFT" value="#ffffff"/> <color name="COLOR_INTGRADRIGHT" value="#b1bcdd"/> <color name="COLOR_HIGHGRADLEFT" value="#44477e"/> <color name="COLOR_HIGHGRADRIGHT" value="#44477e"/> <color name="COLOR_TRAYTEXT" value="#ffffff"/> <color name="COLOR_WINDOWFRAME" value="#1d2b43"/> <color name="COLOR_BTNFACE" value="#9dc2e0"/> <color name="COLOR_BTNTEXT" value="#52486d"/> <color name="COLOR_SCROLLBAR" value="#b1bcdd"/> <color name="COLOR_alertWINDOW" value="#b1bcdd"/> <color name="COLOR_alertTITLE" value="#34355e"/> <color name="COLOR_alertRULE" value="#52486d"/> <color name="COLOR_HOMERULE" value="#353a69"/> <color name="COLOR_STARTMENUTEXT" value="#000000"/> </scheme> <plugin clsid="{837FC251-FE69-43ad-84E0-EBCEDEBA0884}" name="iconbar" height="27"> <iconbar fgcolor="COLOR_TRAYTEXT"/> <background gradient="title" bgcolor="COLOR_TRAYGRADLEFT" b-border-color="COLOR_WINDOWFRAME"/> </plugin><plugin clsid="{79EFB752-CB70-446d-B317-499723482B3D}" name="startmru" height="52"> <mru y="3"/> <translaterockerkeys/> </plugin><plugin clsid="{E09043DF-510E-4841-B652-388316977A7A}" name="carrier" height="49"> <allowselection/> <background> <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/> </background> <label font-size="22"> <text><carrier/></text> </label> <label y="21" textwidth="163"> <text><wifi/></text> </label> <clock> <time y="-7" halign="right" font-size="38"/> <date y="25" halign="right" font-size="19"/> </clock> </plugin> <plugin clsid="{95976968-45D5-40c9-9779-2B859B1C2FEC}" name="profile" height="25"> <background> <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/> </background> <label> <text lang="0x0409" singleline="true">Profile: <profile/></text> </label> </plugin> <plugin clsid="{0BA8ABB8-1F1D-417f-88C6-DA8530E2E7A6}" name="missedcalls" height="25"> <background> <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/> </background> <format state="nocall" visible="false"/> <label h="22"> <text lang="0x0409">Missed calls: <calls/></text> </label> </plugin> <plugin clsid="{DCE58428-275E-491f-B835-F2AC38D0CC17}" name="voicemail" height="25"> <background> <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/> </background> <label> <text lang="0x0409">Voicemail: <unreadVMail/></text> </label> </plugin> <plugin clsid="{8486CC1E-025B-4888-9C76-048DF7C1787D}" name="msgcount2" height="25" autoheight="false"> <background> <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/> </background> <mail account="sms"/> </plugin> <plugin clsid="{2FFD93B3-0FF0-4228-A6D6-D2DF177D7D92}" name="alldayevent" height="25"> <background> <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/> </background> <format state="noevent" visible="false"/> <label h="22"> <text><subject/></text> </label> </plugin> <plugin clsid="{865A354A-4A96-4687-B001-C155DC0DBE76}" name="calendar" height="49"> <background> <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/> </background> <label h="22"> <text><subject/></text> </label> <label h="22" y="23"> <text><time/> <location/></text> </label> </plugin> </home> (Save as Skillz.home.xml) No place "WindowsSkillz.jpg, WindowsSkillzLS.jpg and Skillz.home.xml in "\Application Data\Home" and select "Windows (Skillz)" in the Home Screen selection screen. Guest Paul (MVP) Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 You should post these in the download manager too peeps (click 'Downloads' up top!) P
Guest RSkillz Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 (edited) Hey Paul, Maybe it's wise to create a seperate QVGA (Vox) topic under downloads? I mean, the Vox is currently the only smartphone with screenswitching capabilities and I'm not sure if all QVGA screens work on the Vox? I thought I read something about Facade having problems with the screen switching. Plus the Vox is MW6 based, so the Softkey buttons look different on the screen (glass effect) and the outcome will be different on a pre WM6 device. Edited May 8, 2007 by RSkillz
Guest jpa Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 I would really like the my wireless home weather. I want to use fizz weather with the following plugins added: - carrier/wifi plugin - upcoming appointments plugin. I have tried adding the plugins by copy pasting the plugins from other homescreens. Helas this doesnt work. The added plugins dont show.
Guest jpa Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 OK. so you have first to choose one of the original xml files (the one with wifi plugin and upcoming appointements). Download one of my homesceen with fizz weather. Open the xml file and do a cut of the last plugin (it's the fizz weather plugin) and then a past on the original xml file choosen before. For the past you must do it at the end of the file or just after a tag

The problem is i can't get the plugins of other homescreens in your homescreen : MonWirelessWeather.home.xml. In your homescreen i want the carrier/wifi plugin from e.g. I want to be able to seelct the following plugin and highlight it with the same color as wonwirelessweather. !-- Date/Time/Carrier Plugin --> --------- Beside this plugin i want the calendar plugin with the same colours of wonwirelesshome. <!-- Calendar-Plugin --> When pasting these plugins in monwirelesshome they dont show. I have used MonWirelessWeather.home.xml and HTC.blue.home.xml. Please help
Guest jpa Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 (edited) OK, you have to replace the "carrier" plugin part by your one and not to add it because you can't have 2 "carrier" plugin !-- Date/Time/Carrier Plugin --> for this one I don't understand what you want to do as I use facade in my theme ??? If you want this plugin and not facade, you have just to delete the facade part and to add your plugin <!-- Calendar-Plugin --> Edited May 8, 2007 by jpa

I now see and select "upcoming appointments" And i already saw the carrier plugin. Now for the cosmetic part. I would like the plugins when selected to show bluw background just like when profile is selected. Nevermind. Solved this by : <!-- Calendar-Plugin --> Edited May 8, 2007 by nexxexium
