Guest bowdowntozoltan Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 I have no room to install anything on the main memory, so anything through activesync fails. Is there a way to activesync right to the storage card?
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Only if you have cab installer files for the apps you want on the phone. Then all you need to do is copy them directly to your storage card and run them from there on your phone. If you're that low on phone storage though you might want to consider a hard reset to free up that memory again, then when you install stuff make sure it goes onto the storagecard

Is there a way to activesync right to the storage card? when y install from cab file(or other way) ,there should be a option let y choose weather to hold your files(phone memory or card)
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 During the install process system memory is still used while the phone sorts out it's data, some larger games/applications will fail to install if there is not enough initial room left on the device. The only option as mono said is to free up space on the phone.
Guest ghm101 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 (edited) I am using a SPV e650 & Activesync 4.5, I have turned on the "Files" option so any files placed in a desktop folder gets sync'd to the phone. Is a way to specify that these files should go to the storage card in instead of phone memory? i.e \Storage Card\My Documents instead of \My Documents I haven't seen any obvious way of doing thing in either PC Activesync or Mobile Activesync Edited May 25, 2007 by ghm101
Guest xeno1 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 (edited) If you can actually get it installed, pocket mechanic (google for it) has an app that allows you to choose anything that you installed to your phone and move it to your card. It will even change the links and registry settings so your phone knows where it has been moved to. It has a 30 day trial with full use but with all of the other useful apps on it you'll probably end up wanting to buy it when the trials over. Sorry, I didn't realize that I was in the smartphone forum. Pocket Mechanic doesn't have a smartphone version available. Edited May 26, 2007 by xeno1
