Upgrade to VOX only connecting as Guest (my solution)

Hi all...

Having banged my head against a wall trying to sort this one out, I'd thought I'd share it in case anyone found it useful...

I've had a c600 for a while, which synced great on two machines (XP), using ActiveSync 4.2. I then bought a VOX as a replacement... Of course, it requires you to upgrade to ActiveSync 4.5

Having done this, one XP machine worked perfectly straight away. The other would only ever let the phone connect as Guest.

After many resets, reinstalls etc... I found that on that machine, a new registry setting had been added (presumably by ActiveSync 4.5):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services

"GuestOnly"=dword:00000001

Changing it to "GuestOnly"=dword:00000000 solved the problem. Why the install made it only happen on one machine, I will never know....
