Guest mattgeeks Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Ok...seems that TT6 works on HTC, but lacks of usaibility for the absence of touchscreen (so U need to use sw addons like fake cursor...)...obviuously...is a smartphone! I've try to found TT5 on onlineshops but here in Italy, didn't have... So...did anyone try Navigon6 on the 710?...or Route 66?... A navigation sw can be really useful, also for motorbike trips!... Suggestions? thanks and cheers!

Guest mattgeeks Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 ...mate...I'll try smart2go...also if is made by Nokia, as I understood... :P thanks for the tip! cheers
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 just installing it now. Thanks for the link I've just had a play around with Microsoft's Live Search (as recommended on Pauls list of free software) and it works great with my Holux GPS and also has aerial views. As mentioned, it's free if you don't count any over the air data costs.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 I found Smart2go awful. I've used R66 very briefly on my S710 and it seems to work OK. In it's favour, it IS dirt cheap (www.66.com). P
Guest mattgeeks Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 I've installed and tried...then update to navigation. The app seems not bad...has a very fast GPS fix (even with an old NavMan...) I'll try in these days and I'll report a little brief.... uh..oh...tomorrow I need to buy another GPS antenna....the NavMan is owned by a friend o'mine and tonight I'll go back to him! cheers
Guest smfa1965 Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 I'm using CoPilot 6 right now. It loads and works fine, although today I found some mapping issues but I don't think it has to do with my Vox. Smart2Go is great on my MTeoR and S60 devices. Working with it briefly last Friday was terrible. Very slow to update (granted, I didn't download the maps ahead of time using maploader so that may help), couldn't really be used. Someone mentioned Route 66. I'm a fan of this app. I've used it on S60 and Pocket PC platforms and it just works great. I think I'll have to buy the smartphone version to complete my package.
