Guest zim_zimmer Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 Hi, I'm having trouble downloading MMS messages?? The phone (SPV C550 on T-Mobile) keeps saying that the memory is full, even though there are no messages (apart from the one I've received) in the MMS folders, or even in the SMS folders now I've just cleared them thinking it would help!!! After doing a bit of googling I found this webpage (http://www.modaco.com/lofiversion/index.php/t230908.html) that gave me a clue as to what it might be. So I went into my regeditor and changed the 'reservedspace' value to 512 which bypassed the normal error I got on the phone, and the message seemed to download. However when I went into it, it said MESSAGE FAILED TO DOWNLOAD and there was nothing there!! I've now lost this message as it wouldn't give me the chance to download it again  Just wondering for the future though, how I would resolve this problem?? I moved over to T-Mobile about 3 months ago and my MMS settings were still set to the O2 ones, however I've since changed these after finding some on this forum. I'm really stumped... help please!! Thanks
Guest notaliberal Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 I've heard mention of sending yourself a "test MMS", after which they were able to receive other MMS just fine. Try that, send yourself one. If you get it, then you're good to go... Good luck,
Guest martin Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 Also after deleting SMS or MMS messages, remember to go to 'Folders - Deleted Items' and delete them a second time to free up phone memory.
Guest zim_zimmer Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Excellent, seems to be working now. On a side note, my girlfriend is having trouble with hers too... she has a BenQ Siemens S81 and is on the O2 network. I'v emanaged to find generic MMS O2 settings and typed them in but they don't seem to work? Any ideas?
Guest notaliberal Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 No idea. Try looking at the O2 website and see if they have any specific info there. They probably do... Good luck, glad you at least got one of them working.
