GPRS monitor for WM6?

Hi all,

I just tried the trial versions of both SPB GPRS monitor and Efficasoft GPRS monitor on my E650.

The SPB one (v1.1) lacked working soft menu buttons on most dialogs and was unuseable. The Efficasoft one (v3.51) seemed ok, but no matter which connection I selected it wouldn't show any GPRS data transfer during my testing (the selection being: orange world, orange mms, orange wap, internet access (which should be my WLAN connection I guess)). I tested orange world and random internet and messenger connection, and wlan was definitely off during testing.

Anyone know if the problem is linked to WM6, or is it me doing something stupid?

For Efficasoft download the special version found here. Works perfectly...

Thanks!

I saw that there was a special edition, but wasn't sure about it.

This version does indeed work perfectly.

I posted this a problem with my SPV C600 to the SPB tech support guys using the form here:

http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/smartphone...support.html?en

They emailed me a link to download an updated version that worked on my SPV C600.

I've installed this version on my E650, but have been using wifi to sync with Kerio OTA rather than GPRS so haven't got anythig to report on useability ..... the soft buttons work properly

dhardy, did you in the mean time see the monitor working on GPRS? I also got this version from the guys but it doesn't seem to monitor my GPRS connection even if the soft keys are visible now.

Thanks,

Derek.

Not yet ... I'm waiting for the cheap gprs tariffs to come in on Orange in June or the arrival of a free sim unlock so I can use my T-Mobile sim to test ....

The guys there told me that WinMob 6 is not yet supported. I can confirm that the monitor does not monitor anything on WinMob6 where on WinMob5 it does. I think MSFT changed something related to packet data connections. It's a pity that there is no working and reliable monitor but maybe there are not enough people requesting this...

Cheers.

Already got the link from the support guys. Thx anyway.

So Hotas, You're telling that this "special" version isn't going to work?

Yes, it is not working on my WinMob6-Vox. The settings work (with the "standard" version they do not) but nothing is monitored. Possibly playing with all the registry keys and values of the GPRS monitor in WinMob6 will make it running but I don't have the time to try...
