Which UK operator has the best HSDPA coverage?

A complete guess here - but I'd have to say T-Mobile. They assure me HSDPA is available anywhere there's a 3G signal. Data rates in some rather poor signal areas would seem to confirm this claim.

I'm 99% certain it's Vodafone. However if you're looking for a new contract and you need HSDPA, be wary of Vodafone. They use Ericsson kit which has a bug in it preventing HSDPA access and calls simultaneously. So if you're having an email pushed to you and your HSDPA is on, you'll miss any calls during that time.

I'm with T-Mobile in and around London / Sussex / Surrey and I have great 3G/HSDPA coverage.

It's interesting to note after all the bleating about O's awful customer service and terrible data prices that they now have HSDPA in London (and maybe the other major cities they were rolling out to), with an £8 pcm data plan and not too many users trying to share the HSDPA access.

Net result, fast data speeds and not too much congestion. Thank God loads of you switched to T.

A lot of T users have complained in the last two months about 3g/H issues.

Not having a dig jimbouk, but despite the 'bleating' they've still got aweful CS and 'maybe in this City?' HSDPA coverage. I'm sure you get blistering speeds living in London but I get that here in the sticks of the Cotswolds, in fact everywhere I go.

Indeed - T customers do seem to have beter overall cs and have "national" hsdpa.

I am an O Premier Customer and haven't had a problem with them - but I acknowledge that lots of people have.

My point was purely that as everyone had migrated to T, us loyal O customers now have an empty data network to use.

I agree, jim.

I guess it all depends on how people define 'best coverage' - widest / fastest / most reliable / least time spent 'Locating...'
