My Vox was fully charged yesterday afternoon.. It just woke me up this morning with the battery completely flat... No wifi/bluetooth/gprs was activated... anyone else seen this kind of behaviour?

I am seeing something similar, I just got my vox at the weekend and the battery lasts just over a day with very light use (few calls and texts no data or wifi). I have seen other posts that say the battery lasts 3days+ with a mix of usage. I remember reading something in one of the blackjack posts a while back that some registry setting helped battery life, not sure if that applies for the vox and WM6.

That doesnt sound right at all.

I got my replacement last night by courier, stuck it on charge as it was only at 60% when I got it. Took it off charge at around midnight fully charged, and at 10am this morning it had lost 11% and was down to 89%. Obviously this was with no useage so can't comment on battery life while using it, but it lasted more than overnight.

I'm wondering if perhaps an app had crashed and pegged the processor? Are there any CPU monitoring apps for these phones?

maybe i got lucky... my battery seems pretty good. better almost than my c600.

the c600 could go 3 days with use... an hour or 2 of calls and 50+ texts per day... bluetooth on constantly

the e650 seems capable of matching that, and even with having the wi-fi on during much of the day...

Well it was only that night that did it.. It's fine now.. It's currently at 84% since pulling it off charge 19-20 hours ago, and it's had maybe an hours GPRS usage during that. Maybe just a quirk!

Early on with the S710, I had an unexplained battery drain that was going full to empty in about 6 hours. What I found was that the caps lite indicator light had stayed on after I had used the keybd to edit some alarms in John Cody's alerts. I noticed that it didn't do it all the time though. JCA works fine BTW. I imagine that this could maybe happen with other programs also where the defalut is for the first letter to be a cap or where you have selected caps for editting. I'm sure the design was that it should go off when the keybd is shut, but at least in my case, it didn't on two or three occaisions. When it happens and stays on, the device will get very warm due to the energy of the light. I just check twice now to make sure the cap light is off before closing the keybd up.

I can't imagine the LED itself drained the battery (as they only draw < 20mA), but perhaps it was whatever app caused it to stay on was also nailing the processor! Hm.

Out of interest do people leave Bluetooth on all the time? I found on the Excalibur battery life was doubled after turning BT off

I've had my S710 for about a week now and even with very little usage im having to charge it almost every day ..

Can't figure out why it's draining the battery so quick, since i have installed almost nothing since receiving it and had

very little usage for the last few days or so.

Mine seems ok now, but perhaps there was a problem that may also be affecting you KillBait!.. I don't have bluetooth/wifi/gprs on 95% of the time.. Phone lasts for 2-3 days at the moment (with hardly any usage)..

One thing I notice compared to my C600 is it takes a LOT longer to charge the E650 (via USB)..

My battery seems to drain fast as well. I got it off charge this morning at around 7am and have not used it except Exchange is set to be always on from 7am-7pm and I have listened to music through A2DP to work for about 45minutes. My battery is around 80% right now. Will see how the rest of the day goes, but it seems like I do need to charge every day....only had it for 4 days though, so I'm not exactly sure since I've been playing with it for 4 straight days. Will report back.

I've actually set mine to not charge while connected to the PC and using mains only. If i have used the Wifi/Bluetooth it's been only for a short period of time. Supposedly these Lith-ion batterys dont have a (charge) memory but i have noticed it's taking slightly longer to charge it to 100% each time.

Perhaps it takes a few charges to get it upto full capacity?.. the signal strenth in my area is variable, sometimes i have 4 bars, sometimes a lot less. Constantly searching for a good signal cant be good for the battery, i'm keeping an eye on it and will contact HTC if it dont get any better.
