did it kill my memory card?

Out of nowhere my memory card ive had in my hermes just kinda quit working....like it can see the card, but cant do anything with it. All the pics i had on it are gone and none of my installed programs for it are working...

is this a bug or whats going on has this happened to any of you guys?

More than likely the card just lost it's format. All you need to do is reformat the card and add everything back and it should work again.

I have only had my M3100 for 3 weeks and i am on my 3rd SD card. The first one i put down to being faulty but after my second going yesterday i am becoming suspicious.

My first one could not be recognised by my M3100 after just 2 days. I managed to recover most of my data but the card could not be formatted by the 3100 or my pc so i sent it back as faulty ( Kingston 2gb - if anyone is interested ).

My second one ( Sandisk 512mb ) began playing up a few days ago. My Navigate 7 software started crashing every time i tried to start it. Whenever i started the camera app it would ask me if i wanted to store my pics on the storage card, then today it gave me an error saying it could not save to that location. I removed the card then reinserted it and it worked again, until i browsed the files and discovered that all my directories had disappeared expect for My Document / My pictures which now contained only the last few remaining pics. I have managed to recover everything but this is becoming a problem as i will be using the storage card more and more as i get to grips with email etc.

Has anyone else suffered memory card woes!!!!!!!

Sadly, this is a common problem. There's a fix available for some HTC models, but sadly not the Hermes. All you can do is take frequent backups, and when the error occurs reformat your card. And email HTC asking them to prioritise a fix.
