Guest blowdart Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Ah more joy. I have my phone setup to sync with work's Exchange server. It works fine over wireless. It works fine over the air, but as soon as I plug the phone into the laptop, bang, "Cannot connect with current connection settings. To check your connection settings, select Start, then Settings, then Connections." Support Code:85020006 Now, I can see in networking the network connection to my phone, and the phone is pingable (heh). However the phone just doesn't want to route out via ActiveSync. As you can imagine I'd like it to do this, as it would be a heck of a lot cheaper. I've tried telling ActiveSync it's connected to the internet, as well as automatic. The advanced connection settings are all automatic. I can get to the mail server from my PC. What on earth have Orange done now to break such a simple setup?
Guest ayanGR Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 My setup works with the following adjustments: ActiveSync: Go to menu File>Connection settings and set "This computer is connected" to "The Internet". "Automatic" did not work. Mobile: Go to Settings > Connections, click on Menu > Advanced and set Internet Connection to: Automatic. This enables selecting between pass-through (Activesync) and GPRS Mobile: Go to ActiveSync > Menu > Connections (5) and select to enable syncronization via USB Finally to get internet explorer to work by pass-through, Mobile: Go to Internet Explorer, Menu > Tools (9) > Settings (3) > Connections, check on auto and select "The Internet" as network.
Guest blowdart Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Excellent, that seems to work. At least for now! Thank you.
