How to change the languages?

Hi, i've the EU version of the Vox, there are many european languages, but not italian. Is it possible to change the wm6 version with the italian version or not?

i know, but the version i have has many languages of eu, but not italian..i bought S710 before wm6 italian version was produced

Theoretically you could grab the files from the E650 ROM and put them on the S710. It wouldn't be easy, but it's theoretically possible.

Got anyone an idea how this should be done?

Yes... I would:

- get a copy of the S710 ROM

- dump it using imgfstools and then convert it to packages using scoter's tools

- determine the contents of the individual language packages (primarily MUI files I assume) and determine the required registry settings

- build the above into a CAB

- install and test

That would be my starting point!

Good starting point. Now i simplay need to learn how to fulfill these steps.

I have a German and a EU-Version of the S710 here.

But the Slider of the German Version is not as good as the one from the EU-Version (this ones nearly perfect).

So I would like to flash the german ROM onto the EU device.

Does anyone know a site where I can find a kind of walkthrough for performing this?

you will be stuck at first step, no way to get a copy of a german rom legally :rolleyes:

Hmm, I saw a thread in this forum with a link to the xda-developers. There they found a way to backup the ROM of a S710.

But I don't really understand how this should be done.
