Black 3.0

For anyone interested - Black 3.0 went online this morning.

For anyone not knowing what that means - it doesn't matter.

Feedback: Seems good to me, - I hear there are some random B/T issues though for some people - but only some. Runs well with latest Phone Alarm beta (so far) after a couple of reg edits.

I have noticed no conflicts etc so far.

The BT issue is when you have OBEX enabled in the Pimping app.

I ran it for three hours this morning and loved it... then phone got soaked in my pocket when caught in a rain storm whilst out on bike and died. Spent three hours getting it nearly working but not enough (keyboard and power switch not working properly) so flashed O's WM5 update and am waiting for them to deliver replacement tomorrow - which will be pimp'd within minutes of the courier delivering it!

I am not quite sure where Modaco stands on discussing windows mobile 6 ROMs for devices where Windows Mobile 6 has not officially been released yet.

Anyway, there's a new 3.01 out this morning which fixes bt issue and reloads live!

having been through all the black versions this is by far the best:) it's like having a new phone!

Disclaimer:

It can be very fiddly with lots of things needed to actually get it working - SPL, Super CID etc...

Yeah - was having a brain switched off moment - couldn't quite remember for definite the outcome of the whole discussion that went on about that, and couldn't be bothered to double check - so tried to keep it vagueish.....

Blame mental fatigue. Assumed that if I shouldn't have been talking about it then a mod would jump in anyway, just didn't want any potential crime to be too serious - I like this forum...even if I have been spending a bit more time on the dark side recently.

I'll assume that it is a homebrewed ROM for the Hermes that probably includes WM6 and other stuff...probably made by XDA-Developers.

Yups got mine up and running too... Haven't had a problem so far...

But Live messenger refuses to change my display name... GAH!

and Manual synchronisation fails... =(
