Windows Mobile Device Center Sync on Vista is SO sloooooow!

Hi,

I've got an Orange SPV e650 and a new Vista Premium PC (clean install) and my sync (only contacts and appointments) with Outlook 2003 DOES work but it's soooo sloooow! It takes over a minute now compared to approx 20 seconds on my old XP PRo PC using ActiveSync.

I've opened the required ports in my Windows OneCare firewall (full paid for version as oppose3d to Beta or trial version) without success.

My device is connecting via "USB connection" via the supplied USB cable into a usb2.0 port on my PC.

Does anyone have any suggestions to speed the sync process up?
