Problem with Orange Sim on C500 & HTC Wiz

Hi all,

Strange problem.... I have an orange pay monthly SIM which came with my Samsung D900, it works fine in both my C500 and Wizard. I have recently been given a company mobile on Orange monthly contract (nokia....) and I thought I would transfer the SIM into my Wizard. I can get it to make and recieve calls as well as get a GPRS connection to surf the net no problem, but it will not send or receive text messages - I get something along the lines of "The phone is not ready please wait 15 seconds and try again".

So I tried it in the C500, with my own pay monthly SIM it works fine, with the company one every time i try and send a text it says invlid SIM. but again i can make calls no prolem.. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm guessing it has something to do with the SM card type but I thought they were al the same.

A bit gutted because I was about to order a HTC S710 to use as my main device to replace all of the above, I dare not dothis now as I don#t think the company SIM will work....

Just for your info it seems that the sim card supplied with the Nokia is not 100% compatible with the services on Windows mobile - hence the error messages. Need to talk nicely to our account manager to get a new sim card.
