Guest Richie M Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Excellent, i did ask in the main thread if this would work for you guys  http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...der=asc&start=0 Maybe worth us Updating to DK2 now?
Guest mobillars Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 It works like a charm and I have heard rumors about version 1.4 release together with the SpvX, so no need for you to upgrade to the DK version since the 1.4 for spvx is usable with the spv (same hardware).
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 So you now have SPVs unlocked by Orange, rather than our shady methods? Any major differences? In the contents of the provisionning files, for example? Does the decert survive a Hard Reset?

Any ideas?
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Sorted it - albeit in a slightly roundabout way  See this thread (thought it was important enough to warrant a seperate one): http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...p?p=85843#85843
Guest priccijr Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Can people in the US use this also I tried putting in my phone # and IMEI and it didn't work?
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Can people in the US use this also I tried putting in my phone # and IMEI and it didn't work? give my method a try - it can't do any harm
Guest lutzh Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 hi chris, i had the same with vodafone germany - just pressed ok again and guess what... the unlock screen popped up on my spv just seconds later... cheers, lutz
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Strange, innit? I pressed ok again and no result. tried several times, also with "fake" numbers; got so fed up that I tried typing "zombie" in both fields which led me to the page which gave me the clue (and the register app)
Guest lutzh Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 strange is a nice word in this case... i am not shure if i trust them. fortunatly i have two spv and i'll only do the process on one of them since they write that they will redo the unlock whenever they like. the only nice thing on dk2 is the sms letter counter anyway. every other thing is working smooth on my spv without dk2... cheers, lutz
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 I trust 'em - as has been said elsewhere in the global thread, I think they just have to have that disclaimer to cover their arses when some fool installs a virus himself then tries to blame them for the massive GPRS bill (or similar)
