Guest XPClone Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 :? Does anyone know what could be wrong with this? When I open active sync and connect via the cradle it will tell me its connected in Active Sync but on the SPV it says: Error: Dev_9 Does anyone know what this is. I don't want to do a hard re-set in this instance. Can any one help? :?
Guest furgan Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 i have same problem........Can anyone please help....
Guest dimiok Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 I get the same thing, it happens when I try to synchronize contacts from SPV to desktop. The exact error is: The connection failed due to missing server information or user credentials. Select Menu, Options, and then Connection to verify that your server name and user credentials are correct and try again. Error code: DEV_9 I hope I dont have to install the MIS (Mobile Information Server) on my pc to just get contacts from my phone? Anyone has any ideas? :)
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Hmm, what version of activesync are you all running ? 3.7.1 ?
Guest dimiok Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 No one faced this problem before?
Guest Will Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 sorry not seen, moving to help and advice.. have you done anything 'new' that caused this to start? Will
Guest dimiok Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Didnt do anything new... I had this problem from the beginning. ~dimiok~
Guest dimiok Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 Can someone answer me this question: In order to get contacts and inbox data from spv, do I have to install the Mobile Information Server on my computer? Because calendar and notes synchronise all fine, but inbox and contacts give error mentioned above on the phone and on pc it says 'Sync status is on the device'. Any clues? ~dimiok~
Guest madu Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 This could be because the phone is set up to sync with mobile server, even if you don't think you did it:) try hard reset, but be careful and back up calendar, contacts etc
Guest dimiok Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I did hard reset before, but still the same thing. And in the Connection options in the ActiveSync on the phone, it's all blank and logging is set to none. But it still tries to find Mobile Information Server (that's what it says on the phone). ~dimiok~
Guest dimiok Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 It's ok it's working now! dunno what happend, there was a problem with the headset hole, and I got the phone replaced, maybe that was the problem... Anyway, thanks everyone for help! :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Glad you got it sorted (even though you needed a replacement phone) would have been good to sort it properly though :)
