Hi i just open a ticket to the HTC support Team:

My Device is the HTC-S710, i only want to know, is the S710 compatible with the new above 2GB MicroSD Cards like the Sandisk microSD 4GB SDHC card?

and the answer is:

The HTC S710 will only support micro SD card up to 2 GB and not 4GB SDHC card.

It cant get it to recognize my 512MB card. I pulled it out of the Blackjack and it was fine. Put in the S710 and will not recognize the card is there.

just got an email from HTC support team saying that 4gb is supported ? (inc. saying that SDHC is supported).

don't have the guts to buy a card for myself. Perhaps someone can try a sample in a shop and report back ?

HTC reacted very fast on my inquiry, stating the following:

The HTC S710 supports only up to 2GB Memory cards. Please see the URL below for our recommended memory card to use with this device:

Hopefully a future ROM update by either Orange or HTC will enable larger cards.
