Guest G4RFiELD Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Hey there! Can anyone tell me how to keep my HTC s710 from activating Wi-Fi on startup? Even if Wi-Fi is turned off it boot up again with activated Wi-Fi.....

I've had mine for about a month now and its never done that - and i havent spotted any posts here on it either.

If there is one, move it somewhere else (ie the my document folder is a good place). Don't delete it yet until you're sure that removing it doesn't cause other problems since it's possible that some program you installed put it there for a purpose. I doubt it will cause any problems but it's better to be safe and just move it first.

I removed the wifiinit.lnk and WiFi didnt auto-enable on startup: But then I wasnt able to activate wifi at all... So i placed the shortcut in the autostart folder again...

Guest NeiTRinO Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 I have just an opposite problem: after restarting s710 with celetask wifi is not tuned on. It was on before restart.
