Turn off startup and shutdown sounds?

I've got an unbranded I600 and I want to turn off the startup and shutdown "twinkle twonkle" music that Samsung have put on it.

Anyone know how?

Do you mean music and animation that are shown when on/off phone ?

You can change registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/Startup/1]

"Dll"="Animengine.dll"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/Shutdown/1]

"Dll"="Animengine.dll"

to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/Startup/1]

"Dll"=""

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/Shutdown/1]

"Dll"=""

After this, the phone will load WM5 without start/shutdown animation and sound.

To edit registry in i600, you need to unlock it with SDA_ApplicationUnlock
